The islands of the West Indies proudly hosted the World Twenty20 2010 in a true Caribbean atmosphere!

Early matches were held in Guyana and St.Lucia and the Super Eights in St. Lucia and Barbados. The final 4 teams played the semi-finals in St. Lucia before retuning to Barbados for the final. The ladies teams played their early matches in St. Kitts, semis in St. Lucia and final at Kensington Oval in Barbados

Although both finals were quite low-scoring they were full of excitement. In the end England beat Australia to take the men's trophy while the Australian women gave fans Down Under something to cheer about with a close win over New Zealand.

Matches were well attended by both locals and visiting fans.
